Since 1938, a living expertise

The Indiennes of Nîmes represent the heritage of a know-how passed down from generation to generation. Since 1938, the house has celebrated the elegance of printed cotton fabrics and the Mediterranean way of life, blending tradition, authenticity, and creativity.

Our heritage

A tailor in Camargue since 1938, the house Les Indiennes de Nîmes Mistral is today one of the last guardians of an ancestral craft, part of the epic of the great manufactories of Nîmes.

This unique expertise in fabric weaving combined with archive designs from the 18th and 19th centuries allows Les Indiennes de Nîmes Mistral to keep the textile heritage of Camargue alive.

For nearly a century, the house has elegantly dressed the gardians, respecting the tradition and the chic codes of the "choupo".

Portrait: Amandine Lieurade

A former lawyer at the Paris bar, Amandine decided to change her life 3 years ago and move back to the Camargue with her husband and daughters, Pénélope and Brune.

Today, she passionately preserves the textile heritage of the Camargue, with our archive prints and the iconic outfit of our gardians. Respect for traditions and the quality of our products are her priority, because that is how we will sustain our heritage. She is committed to promoting the art of living and the values of the Camargue.
