History of our Croix de Camargue print:
The Camargue cross, Camargue cross or even herdsmen's cross, is a symbol of the Camargue created in 1926 by the painter Hermann-Paul at the request of the Marquis Folco de Baroncelli to represent the "Camargue nation" of herdsmen and fishermen. She embodies the three theological virtues of Christianity: faith (with its tridents of guardians in the Christian cross), hope (with its anchor of sinners), and charity (with its heart of the holy Marys). It expresses the pride of the “Nacioun Gardiano”.
