History of our Mosca print:
This historical motif of the Indians of Nîmes is in line with the small Provençal motifs called "mouche" or mosca in Occitan. Originally it was the Indian design: "pinta" (small task) for Vasco da Gama in Calicut, or "sits" for the Dutch and "chintz" for the English, from the Indian "chitta". These patterns were redesigned in France in the 18th century for local Indian production. Today in the Camargue, the "mosca" is an emblematic motif for the herdsmen.
- Printed: Moscow
- Color: White / Green
- Dimensions : 60x60cm
- Material: 100% cotton
